Please understand this is my first time working working with SAM. I picked up a disk from On-Disk and have tried to load it on to an old computer that has ME as an operating system. I would like to install Sam on that computer. I have put the disk in and turned off the machine and restarted it like I would to reinstall Me. No luck. The ME program comes up. How do I load sam on a computer with ME already on it?

welcome on board.
You have to take care on the boot options of the old comp. In your case most probably the first bootdevice is the harddrive. You have to change this somehow to CD.
The next point is, make sure that the CD is able to boot. Take another comp and try it with this other maschine.
Which SAM are you trying to install? Take care that the 2008rc is not running on all maschines.

The CD is the first boot device. I checked that out first. I was able to load Sam on a new machine that has a DVD drive. I think may be that they sent me a DVD insted of a CD. Sam 2007 is what I am using.
The disk should be labeled somehow. Doesn't it say if it is a dvd or not?
What kind of hardware are you using?
